About the project

This project showcases a realistic softball bat modeled from scratch using CAD-based workflows. The asset was carefully UV unwrapped and texture-mapped to ensure clean, distortion-free surfaces. High-quality textures were created to replicate the subtle material variations found in a real bat. The scene was completed with intentional lighting and rendering to highlight graphics and the paint job.

UV unwrapping is a lot of 3D artist worst nightmare. Not mine, before getting nice textures one must have nice UV's. I'm unwrapping in Houdini Blender and Maya these days no special UV tools.

I wanted to make sure I knew all about UV's to take my 3D models into substance painter and create some game ready assets in the future.
